Dry Chicken Curry

MIRCHI KA SALAN

Ingredients:
chicken, cut into regular pieces – 1
groundnut oil – 100 ml
ginger paste – 11/2 tsp
large onions, sliced – 2
garlic paste – 1 tsp
salt and pepper – to taste
turmeric – 1/2 tsp
amchur – 1 tso
green chilli paste -1 tbsp
garam masala powder – 1/2 tsp
hard boiled eggs – 2

Method:
Boil the chicken and take out the flesh in large chunks. This boneless cooked chicken should weigh 500 gm.
Heat the oil in a karahi. Add the garlic paste and fry for a minute. Add the onion and fry well. When the raw smell of the garlic disappears and the onions start picking up brown spots, add the flaked chicken and ginger paste; fry till the onions are brown. Add the salt, pepper and turmeric, stir frying after each addition.
Add the amchur and green chilli paste. Mix well and add 1 cup of hot water. Cover and cook over moderate heat. The chicken will get mixed and form a thick mass. Sprinkle garam masala powder and remove.
Serve hot garnished with the hardboiled eggs.
