BOHRI CHICKEN CREAM
Ingredients:
iece of ginger – 2.5 cm
cloves of garlic – 6
bunch of coriander leaves – 1
leaves of mint – 10-12
chicken, cut into regular pieces – 1
large onions – 2
limes – 2
salt – to taste
pepper powder – 1 tsp
cream – 1 cup
butter or ghee – 1/4 cup
Method:
Grind the onions, ginger, garlic, coriander and mint leaves together.
Wash and dry the chicken piece. Prick with a fork. Rub the juice of the limes and half the ground paste into the chicken. Keep for an hour.
Take a thick bottomed degchi. Place the chicken pieces in it. Spread the remaining ground paste all over the chicken. Sprinkle salt and pepper, preferably freshly ground. Pour the cream all over and then the melted butter or ghee.
Seal the degchi with atta dough. Cover tightly. Let cook over a low flame for 30 minutes or till done.
Turn off the gas, but break the seal only at the time of serving.
