Ingredients:
Raw Rice 200gms.
Milk 500 ml.
Kalkandu 250 gms..
Cardamum (crushed) 6 Nos.
Cashew Nuts 10 Nos.
Almond 4 Nos.
Dry Seedless Grapes (Kiss Miss) 10 Nos.
Ghee 2 Tablespoon
Jasthi Patrhiri A Pinch.
Pachchai Karpuram A Pinch.
Method:
Wash the rice and add to milk and add 200 ml water keep aside.
Cook in a vessel preferably pressure cook, till it is completely done.
Mix the Kalkandu ? Crystal sugar powder and keep sauting till completely dissolves.
Slightly fry the cashew nut, almons and dried seedless grapes in a little ghee and mix to the rice.
Add the left out ghee, jathi pathiri, pachchai karpooram and crushed cardamom to the cooked rice.
The Kalkandu Pongal is ready.
