Potatoes with Cauliflower
Ingredients
Cauliflower cut into pieces - 1/2 kg (18 oz)
Potatoes medium – sized peeled and quartered - 2
Grind into a fine paste.
Cumin seeds - 1 teaspoon
Ginger - 1 cm (1/2″)
Cloves garlic - 2
Medium onion - 1
Red chilli - 1
Brown cardamom (optional) - 1
Turmeric powder - 1/2 teaspoon
Salt - taste
Cooking oil - 2 to 3 tablespoons
Coriander leaves for garnishing (optional)
Method:
Heat oil. Fry ground paste and turmeric powder stirring for two to three minutes. Add cut cauliflower and potatoes and salt. Cook for five minutes. Add cut cauliflower and potatoes and salt. Cook for five minutes. Place tawa under the pan and cook covered on low heat till the vegetables are done. It should not require water. Cook for five to seven minutes more. Remove from heat. Garnish with coriander leaves and serve hot.
