Ingredients:
1/4 kg – Cabbage
1 Tbl.sp. (heaped) – Green gram dhal
1 Tbl. sp – Grated fresh coconut
2 (slit lengthwise) – Green chillies
2 – Red chillies
as required – Salt
for frying – Oil
For seasoning:
Mustard seeds, urad dhal, curry leaves
Method:
Heat water in a deep pan.
When it starts boiling add dhal and cook for few minutes.
Add finely chopped cabbage and cook till soft.
Drain water completely and use it for rasam.
Heat oil in kadai, add seasonings, green chillies, broken red chillies and then cooked cabbage.
Fry till dry and then add salt, grated fresh coconut.
Stir for a minute and remove from fire.
Instead of using greengram dhal use precooked dhurdhal or bengalgramdhal.
