URAD & CHANA DAL Lentil
Ingredients
Whole Black Gram - 1/2 cup (Urad Dal Sabuth)
Chilli powder - 1/2 teaspoon
Coriander powder - 1 teaspoon
Cumin powder - 1/2 teaspoon
Tomatoes - 4
Ginger - 1 piece
Chopped coriander - 2 tablespoons
Salt - to taste
Bengal Gram - 1/4 cup (Chana Dal)
Turmeric - 1/2 teaspoon
Garam Masala - 1/2 teaspoon
Onions - 2
Cloves Garlic - 3
Green chillies - 4
Oil - 2 tablespoon
Method:
Pre – cook both the lentils together. Chop finely the onion, garlic, ginger, tomatoes, green chillies and fresh coriander and keep in separate bowls. Warm oil in a frying pan. Add garlic and fry till light brown. Add onions, ginger, tomatoes, green chillies, cumin, garam masala and corianfer powders. Fry for a few minutes. add the cooked ‘dal’ and stir well. Before serving, garnish with chopped coriander.
